Beach Man Wanted for Attempted Robbery of Millville Pharmacy

Millville
– The Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance with
locating Derrick W. Durst, 25 of Rehoboth Beach who is wanted
in connection with an attempted robbery of a Rite Aid Pharmacy in
Millville.
Troopers
responded to the business on February 5th at
approximately 2:00 pm after it was reported a white male entered the
business armed with a knife went behind the pharmacy counter and
demanded Oxycontin and Percocet pills from four employees. The
employees, a 41 year old Millville woman - 62 year old Ocean View
man – 22 year old Millville woman and a 35 year old Millville woman,
informed the suspect the pills were not readily available.
The suspect
then fled the business and was observed getting into the passenger
side of a red 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT with Delaware registration
117491. An unknown white male was observed operating the vehicle.
Police identified Durst as the owner of the vehicle and obtained a
photograph of him. A photo line-up consisting of Durst and other
persons with similar characteristics were shown to the victims at
which point he was positively identified as the person committing
the crime.
Because of this investigation,
detectives have obtained arrest warrants for Durst on four counts of
Attempted Robbery 1st degree and four counts of
Conspiracy 2nd degree. Anyone with information on his
