Update Robbery Apprehension

Gino L. Sturgis has been arrested after turning himself into authorities on Saturday January 24, 2009.  Sturgis arrested on Robbery 1^st degree charges was given a $27,000 unsecured bond pending a later court appearance. 

State Police Seeks Help in Locating Robbery Suspect

Suspect: Gino L. Sturgis BM-52, Unit Block of Reed Street, Frankford, Delaware.

Robbery 1^st Degree

Assault 3^rd Degree

Victim: 49 year old male 30000 Block of Scottland Road Laurel, Delaware

Resume: Early Saturday Morning January 24, 2009, State Police investigated a robbery on Scottland Road Laurel, Delaware.  State Police following their investigation determined Gino L. Sturgis of Reed Street, Frankford, Delaware entered a residence on Scottland Road Laurel, Delaware and assaulted the victim.  Sturgis struck the victim about the head, and abdominal region which resulted in the victim sustaining a black eye, abrasions and a rib fracture.  As Sturgis was assaulting the victim he reached into the pocket of the victim and removed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. 

The victim was taken to Nanticoke Hospital for healing and was treated and released.

State Police obtained arrest warrants for Sturgis and are currently seeking the public’s help in locating him.  Sturgis is a black male 5’10”, 220 lbs.  Anyone with information pertaining to this case is asked to call 302-856-5850 ext. 0.  Tips may also be provided via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
