Update Dover Man Critical Following Crash

Felton-A Dover man is still in
critical condition after being involved in a crash. Charles O.
Bounds -63 of Dover was westbound on Willow Grove road when his 2003
Honda Pilot crashed into the rear of a 2009 garbage truck pinning
Bounds. Bounds had to be extricated from his vehicle. Bounds
suffered a head injury and then he was transported to Christiana
Hospital where he is still listed in critical condition.

Felton-Delaware State Police Crash
Reconstruction Unit is investigating a crash which occurred on
Willow Grove Road in the area of Sandtown road Kent County. The
crash occurred around 7:29 this morning.
A 2009 Mack garbage truck of RPJ Waste
services driven by Steven A Ford-46 of Smyrna was stopped for a
school bus on Willow Grove road. A 2003 Honda Pilot driven by 63
year old Dover man was traveling westbound behind the garbage truck
and appears to have failed the see the stopped traffic. The Honda
Pilot struck the right rear of the garbage truck with the left front
of his Honda Pilot. The Dover man became trapped and was extricated
by the Felton Fire Department.
The Dover man was transported to Kent
General Hospital however will eventually be transported to
Christiana Hospital via State Police Aviation. The Dover man
suffered head trauma as a result of the crash.

Honda driver information following proper notification. |
