Newspaper Delivery Person Robbed at Gunpoint

Woodside – The Delaware State Police are investigating an
early morning robbery that involved a local newspaper carrier being
robbed at the Uncle Willies on DuPont Hwy in Woodside this morning
at 1:40 am.
Investigators learned a 59 year old Magnolia women, was at the
Uncle Willies preparing for her newspaper deliveries. The victim
informed police she was organizing her newspapers outside of her
vehicle in the parking lot when a full sized dark colored pickup
truck pulled into the parking lot. The victim states she was working
on the papers when she heard footsteps running up behind her when
someone grabbed her and shoved her into the passenger side door of
the suspect’s pickup.
The suspect was armed with a handgun and demanded money. After
the victim advised she did not have any money, the suspect struck
her in the head with the handgun. A second suspect exited the truck
and entered the victim’s vehicle and removed her cellular telephone.
The suspects fled the area. The victim sustained a minor injury and
did not require medical treatment.
The first suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20
– 25 yrs of age, 5’7’ – 5-9”, wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie.
The second suspect is described as a white male approximately 20 –
25 yrs of age, 5’6’ – 5-8”, wearing a longed sleeve black hoodie.
The pickup truck was described as black in color with round
headlights.
Video surveillance is currently not available. Anyone with
