Federal Fugitive Nabbed by
Troopers

- On October 2, 2008, members of the Troop 3 Drug Unit and the Kent
County Governor’s Task Force (GTF) located and arrested Charles
Michael Kemp, 53 of Wyoming. Kemp was a fugitive from the Federal
Court System and was wanted by the United States Marshall's,
Maryland Prison System, and Delaware Court System.
Acting on information received from
a concerned citizen, a search warrant was obtained for a residence
in the 100 block of South Draper Circle, Magnolia. Police believed
Kemp may have been hiding out at that location. On Thursday October
4, 2008, members of the DSP executed the search warrant and located
Charles Michael Kemp inside the home. He was taken into custody
without incident.
As a result the search warrant,
Charles Michael Kemp was arrested on outstanding federal fugitive
warrants and warrants out of the Maryland and Delaware court
systems. Kemp was turned over to the United States Marshall's and
committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Center with out bond.
