State Police Seek Assistance in Felton Robbery

Released Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Felton – The Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in a robbery investigation that occurred Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Country Cupboard located at 1882 Willow Grove Rd., Felton, DE.

Troopers learned a white male (possibly a late teenager or in early 20's, 5'05", 150 lbs., brown eyes, wearing camouflage clothing from head to toe, including hood and gloves) entered the Country Cupboard store and walked right behind the counter and confronted two clerks (39 year old Dover woman and 20 year old Felton woman).

The suspect was holding a handgun and demanded cash form the register. The clerks complied and the suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money. One of the clerks informed police they heard another suspect yelling into the store (from front door) for the first suspect to hurry up.  No description was given on this other suspect.

The first suspect fled out the front door and ran northbound towards S&D Mobile Home Park, located on Sandalwood Drive. A canvass of the area by troopers located a stolen roll of quarters on Sandalwood Drive near Skyler Lane.

Currently there is no video surveillance available. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact Major Crime’s investigators at Troop 3 at 697.2104. Tips may also be forwarded to law enforcement through tip lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or on line at www.tipsubmit.com.
