Crash in Milford Claims Life

Released- Sunday, September 14, 2008

Milford- On Saturday, September 13^th, at approximately midnight, a crash occurred on South Bowers Road east of Mosely Road in Milford. 

A 1998 Chevrolet S10 (operated by Thomas Webb, 35, of South Bowers Road in Milford) was traveling eastbound on South Bowers Road.  A 2006 Ford F250 (operated by Cory Calhoun, 18, of North Union Church Road in Milford, was traveling westbound on South Bowers Road approaching the Chevrolet. 

The Chevrolet, driven by Webb, crossed into the opposing westbound lane and struck the Ford. 

Mr. Webb was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Mr. Calhoun was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.  He was found to have been drinking.  Mr. Calhoun was cited with DUI and Underage Consumption.  Two passengers in Calhoun’s truck were also arrested for Underage Consumption.  Their names were not available at the time of this release.

It is unknown if alcohol was a factor in this crash on the part of Mr. Webb.
