Afternoon Crash Leaves Motorcyclist in Critical Condition Released Saturday, August 23, 2008 Woodside – The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating an afternoon crash the occurred on Dundee Road north of Jaac Lane west of Woodside. Troopers responded to the single motorcycle crash after it was reported at approximately 1:10 pm that a motorcycle went off the road and crashed. Investigators leaned a 1989 Honda Motorcycle, operated by Wesley C. Stayton, 63 of Lincoln was traveling northbound on Dundee Rd when he entered a left curve. For an unknown reason the motorcycle failed to negotiate the curve and it exited the east edge of the road causing the crash. Mr. Stayton was not wearing a helmet and suffered serious injuries. He was flown by DSP helicopter to Christiana Hospital and admitted in critical condition. Investigators are reporting speed was not a factor and alcohol is not involved. The roadway was closed for approximately 1 hour. The crash remains under investigation.
