State Police Seeking Public’s Assistance in Locating a Dover Man Wanted in Connection to an Felonious Assault

Dover - The Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance with locating a 20 year old Dover man wanted in connection with a serious assault that occurred on March 16 of this year.

The man in question, Thomas M. Gilbert, 20 from Spring Garden Lane, Dover is wanted for Assault 2nd degree (f) stemming from an incident that occurred in the parking lot of Rodney Village Shopping center, just south of Dover. Investigators report a 16 year old Dover man was walking in the area of Club Kids at approximately 11:55 pm when he was approached by several subjects. For an unknown reason, Mr. Gilbert, struck the victim in the face with his hands causing severe injury to his jaw. The victim did not know his attacker and played no role in provoking this attack.

During the investigation, police learned that Mr. Gilbert was the person who caused the injury and have obtained arrest warrants for him. The state police have made numerous attempts to locate him without success and are asking for the public’s assistance.
