Hartly – The Delaware State Police have taken into custody the 41
year old man who had barricaded himself earlier today without
further incident. At 5:40 pm, he was apprehended after members of
the State Police Special Operations Response Team entered the home
and located the subject unresponsive on a bedroom floor.
Prior to entering
the home troopers were able to observe the subject through a window
lying on the floor indicating he may have been asleep or injured
prompting their entry. Once inside investigators took ADDERSON G
SEGO Jr, 41 of Hartly into custody. Several open containers of
prescription medicine were recovered along with a shotgun near Mr.
Sego. Mr. Sego had no apparent injuries.

Wednesday, July 02, 2008
Hartly
– The Delaware State Police are currently on scene investigating an
active barricaded subject complaint in the 3400 block of
Judith Road, east of Hartly. Troopers
responded to the residence today at 12:19 pm after a relative of the
barricaded subject called 911 reporting the subject in question, a
41-year-old male - who resides at the residence, was threatening to
harm himself. Furthermore, the female caller made reference that the
man was armed with a shotgun and barricaded himself in a bedroom.
When troopers
arrived and attempted to contact the subject, he immediately began
yelling from inside the residence to the troopers who were outside.
The man was indicating he was not coming out and that he would harm
anyone including himself if anyone were to come inside. Family
members informed troopers the subject was inside the home alone.
A perimeter was
immediately established surrounding the home and additional troopers
were called to the scene to assist. Members of the Special
Operations Response Team and Conflict Management Team are currently
on scene negotiating with the subject.
Because of the
severity of this incident, several homes in the surrounding area
were evacuated and portions of
Judith Road have been closed. When
additional information is available, it will be provided. |
