Fatal
Motorcycle Crash Claims Clayton Man’s Life
Released
Tuesday, June 10, 2008
Dover –
The Delaware State Police
Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a fatal
motorcycle crash that occurred early this morning. Troopers
responded to the crash scene at approximately 6:00 am after 911 was
called reporting the crash.
Investigators
learned a 2007 Suzuki 600 motorcycle was northbound on Rose Valley
School Road when it entered an “s” curve in the roadway
(approximately .1 mile south of Yoder Drive). The motorcycle,
operated by a 22-year-old male from Clayton, failed to negotiate the
curve and exited the east edge of the roadway. The operator, who was
ejected and not wearing a helmet, was killed.
Speed is a
factor in the crash and alcohol use is unknown. Investigators
believe the crash occurred in the early morning hours well before it
was discovered. The name of the operator is being withheld pending
notification to family members and will be released later today. The
crash remains under investigation.
