Milford Man Arrested on 131 Charges Related to Sexual Assault Released Thursday, May 29, 2008 Harrington – The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigation Unit have arrested a 65 year old Milford man on numerous charges related to sexual assaults that occurred between November 1991 through May 1995. State Police Detectives became aware of the case after the victim, now a 25 year old Milford woman was being interviewed by the Attorney Generals Office in reference to a separate sexual assault case involving her own child. In this case, the Milford Police Department investigated William F. Tucker, 65 of Milford for the sexual assault case in which he was arrested and charged with 4 counts of First Degree Rape amongst other charges. Subsequent that arrest and during a later interview with the Attorney General Office, the current victim disclosed she too was sexually assaulted by Mr. Tucker. These sexual assaults, which involved vaginal and oral intercourse, occurred between November 1991 and May 1995 when the victim was 9 to 12 years old. In May of this year the victim provided investigators with details surrounding the assaults and that they occurred after she met Mr. Tucker in 1991. The victim informed police she was residing in the 1000 block of Ingram Branch Road near Harrington which is where the assaults took place. In April of 2008, detectives from the Milford Police Department executed a search warrant in reference to their investigation at the Lighthouse Christian Center Church in Milford. As a result, detectives were able to recover documents indicating that Mr. Tucker had sexually assaulted the victim in which he was charged with today. These documents, dated back to 1995, corroborated the accounts that the victim provided police. Because of this they have been seized as evidence in the case. Mr. Tucker was arrested today at his place of employment in Milford without incident and charged with the following felony crimes:
Mr. Tucker was issued a $385,000 secured bond and ordered to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18. He was able to post bail and was released. Note: questions regarding the Milford PD investigation can be directed to the Milford Police Department.
