Tier II Sex Offender Sought for Failing to Re-Register

Claymont- State Police are seeking the whereabouts of Clarence Murphy, 40, who is a homeless registered sex offender.

This subject had been living at the Riverview Motel, 7811 Governor Printz Claymont, Delaware, but had left the motel several months ago. An arrest warrant for Failure to Re Register as a Sex Offender was issued in March, and Troopers have been unable to locate him. A routine computer check has revealed there are also other active warrants for Mr. Murphy: one for a Superior Court Violation of Probation and another from Family Court. Clarence Murphy is a Tier II Registered Sex Offender (moderate risk). He was convicted in October of 1988 for Unlawful Sexual Intercourse First Degree. Anyone with information pertaining to Murphy’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
