Released-
Wednesday, June 11, 2008
Wilmington-
Often in law enforcement,
officers come across individuals, who quite frankly, make matters
worse for themselves. This was the case when a patrol officer came
into contact with Mr. Chad Bean, 30, of Three Rivers Court in
Newark.
On Tuesday,
June 10th, at approximately 10:33, Mr. Bean was a
passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on Robinson
Lane and Maryland Avenue. Officers asked Bean for his name at which
time he told them he was Kwame Brown. When no record came back in
the computer system for a “Kwame Brown,”
Troopers
re-addressed Mr. Bean. When his true identity was uncovered,
another computer check was conducted which revealed Mr. Bean was
wanted on a capias out of the Court of Common Pleas- with a total
bail due, of yes, $60.00. In essence, Mr. Bean picked up a
new charge of Criminal Impersonation, for lying to officers
over $60.00 bucks.
He was
committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute in lieu of the
$60.00 bail.
