Robber Makes
Out with a Little Loot and a Few Lumps

Newark-
On Tuesday night, a male
robbery suspect got a little more than he bargained for when he
attempted a heist of the Four Seasons Liquor Store (702 Plaza Drive
in Newark.
Shortly before
11:00 p.m., Troopers were called to the above location for the
report of a robbery. This investigation revealed a black male
suspect entered the store and selected a bottle of malt liquor from
display. The suspect approached the front counter and presented the
clerk with two dollars- the product he selected cost $1.98. The
clerk opened the register to complete the transaction when the
suspect lunged across the counter and began to remove cash from the
register drawer.
The clerk took
an aluminum baseball bat concealed behind the counter and began to
strike the suspect. This effort by the clerk resulted in the
suspect dropping some of the money he originally took (the exact
amount is undisclosed). The suspect fled out of the front door
toward the Four Seasons Apartments.
The suspect is
described as: a black male,
5'07" to 5'08" tall, 180 to 190 pounds, full beard, and low pitched
voice with an average build
