Thief By-Passes Locked Doors by Going Through Car Roof

Released- Thursday, May 08, 2008

Bear- On Wednesday, May the 7th, shortly before midnight, a Troop 2 patrol officer responded to the Perch Creek Wawa (2754 Pulaski Highway) in reference to a theft from a vehicle.

This victim in this case stated that she responded to this location and parked her convertible Pontiac Sunfire in the side parking lot. She said that she went inside to patron the business and was shopping for about 10 minutes.

The victim returned to her vehicle where she found that someone had used a sharp object to cut a hole in her roof in order to steal her purse.

What did the thief make away with… a driver’s license and a grand total of $5.00 in cash.
