Claymont-
Detectives from the Delaware State Police have identified the bank
robbery suspect responsible for the WSFS case from March 19th.
Brandon J.
Rietheimer, 21, of the 200 block of Governor Printz Boulevard was
arrested at his residence on Friday night, March 21st.
Investigators learned of Brandon’s identity after receiving tips
from the surveillance photograph released and disseminated by the
media the night of the robbery.
Troopers executed
a search warrant at Rietheimer’s home yesterday and were surprised
when, inside the residence, they located a small, but sophisticated,
“marijuana grow.” This pot growing bank robber assembled this indoor
“grow” complete with automatic timers, lighting apparatus and
watering system. Eight established marijuana plants were seized.
Rietheimer was
formally charged with the following offenses: Robbery 1st
(felony), Manufacturing Marijuana (felony), Possession with the
Intent to Deliver Marijuana (felony), Maintaining a Dwelling for
Keeping Narcotics (felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
(misdemeanor).
He was committed
to the Howard Young Correctional Institute in lieu of $24,500.00
secured bail.

On Wednesday, March 19th, at approximately 9:34 a.m., Troopers were
called to the WSFS bank, located inside the Superfresh at 2105
Philadelphia Pike, for a bank robbery.
A male subject
entered this location and approached a teller. The robber displayed
a black handgun and handed the teller a bag. He demanded cash and
the teller complied. The suspect left this location on foot and was
last seen running in an easterly direction across Philadelphia Pike
toward Rolling Road.
Checks of the area
by patrol officers and K9’s
were met with negative results.
The suspect is
described as a white male, thin build, 17
– 23 years old, 5’09”
– 5’11”
tall, fair skin, and acne. He was wearing a dark colored
‘hoodie’
and dark pants.
