DSP News Release: Friday, September 4^th, 2009

Location: USRT 113 and SR 18 (Seashore Highway), Georgetown, DE

Date of Occurrence: Friday, September 4^th, 2009 at 6:39 hours

Resume:  Delaware State Police Troopers are presently investigating a physical injury crash involving two vehicles.  One of the vehicles involved in the crash is a Seaford Police Department vehicle.  

The police officer operating the patrol vehicle was not injured.  The operator from the second vehicle was flown to Christiana Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  

The roadway was closed for a brief time and has since been reopened.  

The investigation is underway.   Details surrounding the crash and information concerning the vehicles and individuals involved will be released in subsequent press releases as it becomes available.
