DSP News Release: Thursday, October 15th, 2009 – Final Release - DSP On-Scene Injury Crash
Location: SR 24 in the area of Rosedale Road, Millsboro
Date of Occurrence: Thursday, October 15th, 2009 at approximately 9:37 am
Suspect(s): N/A
Resume: The Delaware State Police responded to the SR 24 at Rosedale Road, Millsboro for an injury crash involving two vehicles. The roadway was closed for approximately one-hour.
The investigation revealed that a 2006 Toyota Prius, operated by Ms. Roxanna Flores, 34, of Laurel, was traveling westbound on SR 24. Ms. Flores stopped preparing to execute a left turn onto Rosedale Road.
A 1992 Buick Century, operated by Mr. Charles Mosley, 85, of Millsboro, was traveling to the rear of the Prius. The front of Mr. Mosley’s vehicle struck the rear of Ms. Flores’ vehicle.
Ms. Flores was in the company of a 24-year old male, Juan Ortiz, from Laurel, who was seated in the front seat of the Prius.
All parties were wearing their respective seatbelts and were transported to Beebe Medical Center via ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.
Mr. Mosley was cited for Careless Driving and Failure to have Insurance Identification in Possession.

Location: SR 24 in the area of Rose Dale Road, Millsboro
Date of Occurrence: Thursday, October 15th, 2009 at approximately 9:37 am
Suspect(s): N/A
Resume: The Delaware State Police are presently on-scene of an injury crash involving two vehicles.
The roadway is closed on SR 24 between Gull Point Road and Layton Davis Drive. Motorists are encouraged to seek other routes and avoid the area.
Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
