Released Saturday, May 16, 2009

MiltonThe Delaware State Police have obtained arrest warrants for Chevelle D. Morris, 45 of Millsboro for Robbery 1st degree and Burglary 2nd degree stemming from a robbery that occurred on May 12.

Detectives were contacted and advised of a suspicious person complaint on May 14 that involved a home owner on Hurdle Ditch Road (which is approximately 3 miles from where the robbery occurred) reporting a suspicious black female panhandling for money.  They learned that the woman approached the homeowner and asked for money when he refused.  The homeowner noted she was operating an older boxy type vehicle and before she left was able to secure a registration number and give it to police.

Milton – The Delaware State Police are investigating a strong-armed robbery of an 88-year-old woman that occurred at her home on Cool Spring Road yesterday morning at approximately 9:20 am.
