DSP News Release: Fugitive Arrested
Location: US 13 north of Seaford, DE

Resume:
On December 9, 2009, members of the State Police Sussex County Governor’s Task Force and the Sussex Drug Unit located Maurice Cannon, a fugitive wanted on several outstanding warrants for Robbery 1st, Burglary 1st, Assault 3rd, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Offensive Touching and Criminal Impersonation. He was also wanted on several capiases for Conspiracy 3rd, Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest and Theft (M). Cannon, who had been eluding police since April 15, 2009, was observed and identified by GTF members when he was observed as a passenger in a vehicle on US 13, North of Seaford. Several troopers responded to the area and followed the vehicle to a parking lot on Porter Street, in the town limits of Seaford, where Cannon was taken into custody without incident.
Maurice Cannon was found to be in possession of 2.6 grams of crack cocaine, 2.7 grams of “fake” crack cocaine, 2.5 grams of marijuana and a small amount of U.S. Currency.
The operator of the vehicle, Mandy Tribble of E. Division Street, Dover, was found to be in possession of 1.8 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Maurice Cannon was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also arraigned on the above mentioned street warrants and court capiases. Cannon was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute after failing to post a $221,048 cash bond.
Mandy Tribble was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released on $750 unsecured bond.
