DSP News Release: Employee Arrested on Felony Theft and Forgery Charges

Delaware State Police
have formally arrested Katie E. McCorry, 43, of Greenwood, DE on charges of
felony theft and 130 counts of forgery after she embezzled money from her
employer. McCorry was arrested by Officers of Delaware
State Police Troop 4 on Tuesday, December 8th following a 4 month
investigation. McCorry was employed by Bayside Builders as a bookkeeper from
2006 until April 2009. During that time she is alleged to have written a
large number of checks to herself and embezzled over $400,000.00 in cash.
