PRELIMINARY DSP News Release: Sunday, August 2, 2009-Domestic Dispute Results in Trooper Shooting Suspect
Location: Retz Lane (area of Route 24 approximately 1.5 miles west of SR Route 1 Lewes, Delaware)
Date of Occurrence: Sunday, August 2, 2009 at approximately 4:36 p.m.
Suspect(s): To be released at a later time.
Resume: Delaware State Police are currently investigating an officer related shooting which occurred during a domestic dispute investigation.
Troopers are in the preliminary stage of the investigation.
The suspect is currently listed in stable condition at Beebe Hospital.
The trooper is not injured.
An updated release will be forthcoming when details of the incident and known and confirmed.
