Delaware State Police Probe Burglary and Assault of 45-Year Old Bridgeville Man
Bridgeville- On Monday, April 13th, 2009, at shortly after 8 pm, Delaware State Troopers were called to Millpark Drive, Coverdale Crossroads, area reference a burglary and subsequent assault of a 45-year old male at the residence.
The investigation revealed that the victim was inside his residence when two unknown suspects entered the residence without the permission and/or knowledge of the victim. The victim indicated that he turned around and without provocation was attacked by the suspects. The victim was knocked to the ground and the suspects continued to assault him. The suspects then fled the residence.
The victim called a family friend who responded to the residence and located the injured victim. Upon discovering the injured resident police and emergency personnel were called to the home. The victim was transported by Delaware State Police helicopter to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury and admitted for non-life threatening injuries.
