DSP News Release: DSP Investigating a Liquor Store Robbery

 

Location:  250 Gateway South Blvd., American Discount Liquors, Dover

 

Date and Time: Tuesday, October 20th, 2009 at approximately 9:12 pm

 

Suspects:

 

  • Black male suspect, between the ages of 25 and 35, 5’10-6’1, 170-190 pounds with an average body build

 

Resume:

 

The Delaware State Police responded to the American Discount Liquor Store, located at 250 Gateway South Boulevard, Dover, reference to a robbery shortly after 9:10 pm on Tuesday, October 20th, 2009.  

 

The investigation revealed that an unknown black male suspect entered the store and then went to the rear of the store where he obtained an item from the cooler.  Upon approaching the counter, the suspect offered money to the clerk.  The clerk opened the cash register at which time the suspect reached across the counter and forcibly removed money.  The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
