Thomason was driving a 1995 Ford F150 pickup truck westbound on Judith Road approximately 2 miles east of Hourglass Road. The truck struck a cement culvert and became airborne and overturned when it landed. Thomason was partially ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Speed played a role in the crash and it is unknown if alcohol was involved. Thomason was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
