Man Sought by Troopers for Attempted Murder Nabbed by United States

Salisbury,
Md. -
A 20-year-old
Cambridge Maryland man wanted by Delaware State Troopers for
attempted murder was apprehended today in Salisbury Maryland.
United States
Marshals located Jamar T. Cornish after an anonymous tip led
law enforcement officers to the Days Inn hotel located along the
2500 block of N. Salisbury Blvd.
With assistance
from the Salisbury Police Department and the Wicomico
County Sheriffs Office, U.S. Marshals took Cornish into custody
without incident at approximately 11:00 a.m. this morning. Cornish
had been staying in a room at the hotel.
In March, State
Police detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Cornish formally
charging him seven counts of Attempted Murder 1st Degree,
Assault 2nd Degree, and Possession of a Deadly Weapon
during the Commission of a Felony. The charges stem from a March 2,
2008 shooting incident that occurred along the 25000 block of Elder
Street located in the (Mobile Gardens mobile home community).
Cornish was
also wanted by Maryland officials for robbery and assault. He is
currently being held by the Wicomico County Sheriffs Office and will
be arrested once he is extradited to Delaware.

Release Composite of Suspected Shooter

Seaford-The
Delaware State Police Major Crimes Unit is currently investigating
an attempted homicide which occurred in the Seaford area.
Detectives seek the publics’ help with locating and identifying a
male subject with the nickname of “SNAP”
He is described as a black male, 5’08” to 6’0” tall, approximately
135-150 lbs, with black short braided dreadlocks. The suspect has a
scar (burn mark) on his right cheek. The suspect has the word SNAP
tattooed on the left side of his neck and partial gold teeth. The
suspect was last seen wearing a beanie style black knit cap with the
“NY” logo.

Investigate Shooting Incident near Seaford

Seaford-The
Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting
incident that sent a Seaford man to the hospital with non-life
threatening injuries last night.
On Sunday,
March 2, 2008 at approximately 10:45 p.m. troopers were dispatched
to the 25000 block of Elder Street located in the (Mobile Gardens
mobile home community) to investigate a reported shooting.
Upon arrival,
investigators learned six subjects between the ages of twenty and
forty-nine, were standing around a bonfire when the suspect
described as a black male walked up and started acting fanatical.
According to
the victims, the suspect pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the
group and fired at random. One of the bullets struck a 27-year-old
Seaford man in the leg and hip.
The victim was
transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center and underwent
surgery for his injuries. The victim’s official medical status is
unknown at the time of this release. The other subjects at the scene
were not injured.
Witnesses told
investigators the suspect was a black male, between the ages of
twenty-two and thirty-five, approximately 5’08” to 5’10” tall with
gold teeth. The suspect was wearing a black knit cap with the
letters (NY) on it and he appeared to have a scare on his face from
a previous burn injury. Witnesses told police the suspect may have
fled the scene in a small black, white or silver car.
