Joint
Investigation Leads to Arrest of Selbyville Man

Selbyville-Yesterday,
members of the Delaware State Police Sussex Drug Unit with
assistance from the Selbyville Police Department concluded a
two month joint investigation resulting in the arrest of a
38-year-old Selbyville man on several felony drug charges.
Through the
investigation, detectives learned the suspect identified as
Warren D. Mahan Jr., of Church Street had an active warrant for
his arrest. Mahan was indicted by a Grand Jury for Delivery of a
Schedule II Narcotic Controlled Substance (Oxycodone) earlier this
year.
On Tuesday,
April 29, 2008 at approximately 2:30 p.m., police officers located
Mahan at the Millsboro Wawa. Mahan was taken into custody without
incident and found to be in possession of seventy-three oxycodone
pills which were packaged for sale along with $327.00 cash. Mahan
also had his 17-year-old son in the vehicle with him.
Mahan was
charged with the following criminal offenses: Delivery of Oxycodone
(F), Possession With Intent To Deliver Oxycodone (F), Maintaining a
Vehicle for Keeping a Controlled Substance (F), Possession of Drug
Paraphernalia (M) and,
Endangering the
Welfare of a Child (M).
Mahan was
arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in
lieu of $22,250.00 secured bond. |
