Police Seek Publics’ Help Identifying Armed Robber

Felton-Delaware
State Police criminal investigators are currently investigating a
robbery that occurred last night at the Canterbury Shore Stop in
Felton.
On Sunday,
troopers were dispatched to the convenience store located at 8953 S.
DuPont Hwy. to investigate a reported robbery. Upon arrival
investigators learned the incident took place at approximately 10:29
p.m.
According to
the clerk, the suspect
entered the establishment, removed a Gatorade from the beverage
cooler and approached the counter. Once at the counter, the suspect
asked the clerk for a pack of Newport cigarettes at which time the
clerk asked the suspect for identification.
At this time
the suspect pulled a black handgun from his pants and told the clerk
he didn't have ID and to give him all the money. The clerk complied
and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.
After taking the money the suspect walked out of the store.
The suspect is described as a
black male approximately 18 to 30 years of age with an average
build. He was last seen wearing a red and white baseball cap, green
hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans with white strips on the pockets.
