Charged with Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child
Released-Wednesday, March 26, 2008
Millsboro-Yesterday,
the Delaware State Police charged a Millsboro man with Unlawful
Sexual Contact and Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.
Lewis K. Feger,
79, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a six-year-old
girl over the course of two years. The investigation began on
Monday, March 24, 2008 when criminal investigators assigned to the
Troop 4 Major Crimes Unit responded to the Child Advocate Center in
Georgetown where the child was interviewed by a certified forensic
interviewer.
During the
interview the victim alleged Feger began touching her in a sexual
manner when she was in the first grade (sometime in 2006).
According to the girl, Feger would hug her and place his hands down
her pants. The child told investigators this occurred at least
twenty-six times between January 2006 and March 2008.
During the
investigation detectives learned Feger was an acquaintance of the
family and had known them for years.
As a result of
their investigation detectives formally charged Feger with the
following criminal offenses: Continuous Abuse of a Child (F),
Endangering the Welfare of a Child (F), and three counts of Unlawful
Sexual Contact 2nd Degree (F). He was arraigned and
committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of
$19,000.00 secured bond.
