Information-Vehicle Crash

Georgetown-The
Delaware State Police is releasing the following information
regarding a vehicle crash reported earlier today.
Upon arrival at the
scene officers learned a 1999 Dodge Caravan operated by Elmer J.
Gordillo-Lopez, 26, of Georgetown was traveling southbound on a
private driveway east of US113 northbound.
While traveling
south the van hit 2-year-old Brayan O. Sota-Escalante, also
of Georgetown. Sota-Escalante was transported to Christiana Hospital
and treated for injuries sustained in the crash. His injuries are
non-life threatening.
Alcohol was not a
factor in the crash. It’s unknown if Gordillo-Lopez was wearing a
seatbelt. He was not injured. Georgetown Police Department will be
conducting the investigation. Further inquiries should be directed
to the Georgetown Police Department.

Pedestrian Involved Vehicle Crash Involving Child
Released-Wednesday, March 26, 2008
Georgetown-The
Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is
currently on the scene of a serious vehicle crash involving a
pedestrian and at least one vehicle.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m. just east of US113
northbound within Georgetown city limits. The child, a 2-year-old
male, suffered serious injuries and has been flown to Christiana
Hospital.
No other information is available at this time. The investigation
is in its early stages. Supplementary facts will be released to the
media as soon as practical. US113 northbound is open.
