Updated InformationDeath Investigation Released-Monday, March 24, 2008 Laurel-The Delaware State Police have identified the victim in this case as Kourtland V. Albino, of Laurel. The cause of death has been determined to be drowning. The child was left in the care family members at the time of the incident. As of today, no criminal charges have been filed, however, the investigation is ongoing. A final release will be sent as soon as detectives complete their investigation.
### Preliminary News Release-Death Investigation Released-Tuesday, March 18, 2008 Laurel-Delaware State Police criminal investigators are currently investigating the death of a 22-month-old male child. At approximately 1:48 p.m., state troopers and medical personnel were dispatched to a residence located along the 30000 block of Beaver Dam Branch Road to investigate a report of an unresponsive child there. The child was located in the area of an above ground pool. Emergency personnel immediately rendered CPR in an attempt to revive the child. The child was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead at approximately 2:44 p.m. The investigation is in its infancy and no other information is available. Supplementary facts will be released to the media as soon as practical. |
