Man Charged with Sexual Assault of Three-Year-Old Milford Girl Released-Thursday, March 20, 2008 Milford-Yesterday, Troop 4 Major Crimes detectives charged a 35-year-old Milford man with seven counts of first degree rape. The alleged incidents occurred between the months of July and October 2007 at the home of the female victim who was three-years-old at the time. On Tuesday, the victim who is now four years of age was interviewed at the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) by a forensic interviewer. During the interview the victim identified the suspect as Kenneth E. Wood, Jr., of Milford. Further questioning of the victim revealed Wood allegedly sexually assaulted the girl on seven separated occasions when left alone with the child. During the investigation detectives learned Wood was a friend of the victim’s father. Wood resided with the family between the months of July and October 2007. As a result of the investigation, Wood was formally charged seven counts of Rape 1st Degree (F). Wood was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $35,000.00 cash bail.
