Delmar Man
Charged after Shooting Neighbor’s Residence
Released-Wednesday, March 19, 2008
Delmar-Yesterday,
state troopers from Troop 5 charged a 28-year-old Delmar man with
reckless endangering and criminal mischief after he allegedly shot a
home located along the 36000 block of Columbia Road near Delmar, De.
Troopers were
dispatched to the home at approximately 9:12 p.m. after the
39-year-old male victim reported that his house had been shot once
with bird shot.
Upon arrival,
the victim told police he and the suspect recently went to trial in
civil court after their dogs got into a scrap. According to the
victim, he won the case. The suspect later identified as Robert
A. Neudeck, was also contacted and interviewed by troopers.
Neudeck told
the officers he was annoyed with the victim because his dog, a brown
lab, was attacked by the victim’s dog. During the investigation
Neudeck confessed to investigators that he indeed used a Browning
automatic shotgun to shoot the victim’s home but did not intend to
hurt anyone. The damage to the home was estimated to be $500.00.
As a result of
the investigation troopers formally charged Neudeck with one count
of Reckless Endangering 2nd Degree and one count of
Criminal Mischief, both misdemeanors. Neudeck was arraigned at the
Justice of the Peace Court 5 and committed to the Sussex
Correctional Institution in lieu of $2,000.00 cash bail.
