Hartly Man Shot during Early Morning Home Invasion Robbery

Hartly-Criminal detectives at Troop 3 are currently
investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred during the in
the early hours morning hours.
At approximately 2:12 a.m. state troopers were dispatched to the
3000 block of Hourglass Road, to investigate a reported robbery.
Upon arrival investigators learned two possibly three unknown male
suspects entered the home via an unsecured ground floor door.
The suspects were confronted by a 29-year-old male victim who
resided at the dwelling. According to the victim, the suspects
discharged a firearm at him and he returned fire at the suspects
using a handgun. After several shots were fired the suspects fled
the scene. Nothing was taken from the home.
The victim was struck once in the left leg. He suffered a minor
gunshot wound and was treated at the scene after refusing to be
taken to the hospital. A 22-year-old female victim and two children
ages two and eleven were also home during the incident. They were
not injured.
The victim in this case provided detectives with no additional
suspect information. The investigation is ongoing. State Police
