Seaford Men Charged with Stealing Aluminum Irrigation Pipe

Laurel-Yesterday, state police criminal investigators charged
two men with felony theft, conspiracy and related charges after they
allegedly stole aluminum irrigation pipe from a local farm.
On Monday, February 18, 2008 at 8:00 a.m., troopers from Troop 5
were dispatched to the 32000 block of Gordy Road to investigate the
incident. Upon arrival, investigators contacted a 39-year-old Laurel
man who called police after thieves took irrigation pipe from his
farm. The pipe was valued at $3,150.00.
Further investigation revealed the suspects stole additional
aluminum pipe belonging to the same victim. Those pipes were taken
from a field located along SR 24 and Dickerson Road and were valued
at $1,500.00.
The victim told troopers he located some of the stolen pipe at a
local salvage yard near Seaford. Investigators responded to that
salvage yard and were able to identify the two suspects who brought
the stolen pipe there.
Tye A. Krumm, 19 and Lee A. Walls, 20, both of Seaford
were identified as the suspects. During an interview with detectives
Walls admitted that he and Krumm took the victim’s pipe and cut it
up into sections to sell.
On Wednesday, February 20, 2008 detectives formally charged Tye
A. Krumm with the following criminal offenses: two counts of Theft
(felonies), two counts of Conspiracy 2nd Degree (felonies)
theft by False Pretense (misdemeanor), two counts of Conspiracy 3rd
Degree (misdemeanors) and two counts of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree
(misdemeanors). Krumm was arraigned and released on $5,500.00
unsecured bond.
On Wednesday, February 20, 2008 detectives formally charged Lee
A. Walls with the following criminal offenses: two counts of Theft
(felonies), two counts of Conspiracy 2nd Degree (felonies) theft by
False Pretense (misdemeanor), two counts of Conspiracy 3rd Degree
(misdemeanors) and two counts of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree
(misdemeanors). Walls was arraigned and released on $4,500.00
unsecured bond.
