State Police Investigate Murder Suicide

Georgetown-The Delaware State Police have released additional information regarding the murder suicide investigation reported yesterday.

The male victim has been identified as George Gilliland, 55, of Stowe, Pennsylvania.  George Gilliland died from injuries sustained from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The female victim has been identified as Carole Ann Gilliland, 56, also of Stowe, Pennsylvania.  Carol A. Gilliland is the wife of George Gilliland.  Mrs. Gilliland suffered from blunt force traumatic injuries however the exact time, location and cause of death is still being investigated.

The Montgomery County District Attorneys Office (PA) is currently assisting with the investigation which is ongoing.  No other information is available at this time.
