Troopers apprehended David R. Wright, 42 of Harbeson
Monday evening near Oak Orchard. Wright had been sought by police
for burglary, theft and related criminal offenses. He was also
wanted on three Sussex County Court of Common Pleas warrants and one
Sussex County Superior Court warrant.
On Monday, January
28, 2008 at approximately 6:15 p.m., state troopers responded to the
Oak Orchard area to investigate a reported attempted burglary.
During the investigation troopers learned that a suspicious male had
been observed in the vicinity of the victim’s home.
Troopers learned the
suspicious male had also been seen near an unoccupied summer
residence located one street away from the victim’s home. Troopers
contacted the owner of the summer home and confirmed that no one
should be inside.
During a check of
that residence troopers observed a male subject, later identified as
Wright inside. He appeared to be sleeping. The responding trooper
maintained a perimeter and waited for backup. Once backup arrived,
Wright was taken into custody without incident.
Wright was formally
charged and arraigned on numerous felony counts of Burglary, Theft,
Criminal Mischief and Conspiracy. Wright was committed to the Sussex
Correctional Institution in lieu of $61,915.00 secured bond.

Publics’ Help with Locating Harbeson Man Wanted for Burglary

Georgetown-On
Friday, January 18, 2008 state police detectives obtained an arrest
warrant for David R. Wright, 42, of Harbeson charging him
with burglary, felony theft and criminal mischief. The alleged
incident occurred on January 10, 2008 in the Whispering Pines mobile
home community near Lewes.
Wright is also
wanted on three Sussex County Court of Common Pleas warrants and one
Sussex County Superior Court warrant. He is also wanted by Troop 7
for theft.
Wright is described
as a white male, 5’08” tall, 180 lbs, brown hair and blue eyes.
