DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate 7-11 Robbery, Kirkwood Highway
Location: · 7-11 Convenience Store, 2510 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE
Date of Occurrence: · Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 1:48 a.m.
Victim: · 21 year old male employee
Suspect(s): · Male, unknown race, 20-30 years of age, 5’11” tall, 170-180 lbs, thin build. Last seen wearing black long sleeve t-shirt, black shorts, black baseball cap, and black face mask. Suspect was armed with unknown type handgun. · Male, unknown race, 20-30 years of age, 5’10”-6’0” tall, 200-225 lbs, large build. Last seen wearing white hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, black pants, and black face mask. · Surveillance photo’s not available at this time.
Resume: Wilmington-Troopers are investigating the armed robbery of the 7-11 Convenience Store that occurred early this morning on Kirkwood Highway.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:48 a.m. this morning as two male suspects entered the 7-11 convenience store and approached the 21 year old clerk, located at the sales counter. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and pointed it at the clerk demanding money, cigarettes, and cigars. The clerk complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, several packs of cigarettes and cigars. The suspects fled on foot from the business. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
