DSP News Release: Hess Gas Station Robbery, New Castle
Location: · Hess Gas Station, 506 North Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE
Date of Occurrence: · Monday, September 26, 2011 at 9:20 p.m.
Victim: · 37 year old male employee
Suspect: · Black male, 25-30 years of age, 6’01” tall, 175-185 lbs, thin build. Last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head and a red baseball cap (No further description). Suspect was armed with an unknown type handgun. (Surveillance photos not available at this time)
Resume: New Castle-Troopers are investigating the armed robbery of the Hess Gas Station that occurred last night in New Castle.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. last evening as a male suspect entered the Hess Station and approached the 37 year old male employee located behind the sales counter. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded cash and cigarettes. The clerk complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money and several cartons of cigarettes. The suspect fled on foot from the business. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
