DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Jewelry Store Robbery

 

Location:

·         Harris Jewelers, 1812 Marsh Road, Branmar Plaza, Wilmington, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:

·         Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 7:45 p.m.

 

Victim(s):

·         1 unidentified male employee

·         2 unidentified female employees

 

Suspect(s):  

  • Black male, 22-28 years of age, 6’0” tall, 225 lbs, large build.  Last seen wearing dark colored long sleeve t-shirt, dark colored pants and cloth covering his face.  Armed with unknown type handgun.
  • Black male, 22-28 years of age, 5’07”-5’09” tall, 150 lbs, thin build.  Last seen wearing dark colored clothing, with cloth covering his face.

 

Resume:

North Wilmington-Troopers are investigating the armed robbery of Harris Jewelers, Branmar Plaza that occurred last night.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. last evening as two male suspects entered the Harris Jewelers and displayed a handgun.  The suspects confronted the store employees and demanded jewelry from the safe.  The employees complied and turned over an undisclosed amount and type of jewelry.  The suspects then smashed several glass display counters, removed additional jewelry and fled the business on foot.  There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
