DSP News Release: Suspect Named in Apartment Complex Shooting
Suspect:
-Jaquell McDonald, 16, Magnolia, DE -Black male, 5’08” tall, 150 lbs, black hair, and brown eyes
Charges (warrants are on file):
-Attempted Murder 1st Degree (2 counts) -Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony -Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon -Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
Resume: Dover, DE- Delaware State Police detectives have identified the suspect who shot two Dover residents during a dispute over a bike that occurred at the Autumn Run Apartments on Monday, September 19th.
Warrants have been obtained charging Jaquell McDonald, 16, with two counts of Attempted Murder 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited. McDonald, whose last known address is in Magnolia, DE, frequents the Autumn Run Apartments and also has ties to Rodney Village and the city of Dover.
Anyone who may spot Jaquell McDonald is asked not to approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.
The State Police are asking anyone who may know the location of Jaquell McDonald to contact Detective Doherty at 302-741-2817 or 302-697-4454. DSP News Release: Two Shot after Dispute over Bike
Location: Autumn Run Apartments, Webbs Lane, Dover, DE
Date of Occurrence: Monday, September 19, 2011 at 5:10 p.m.
Victims:
-26 year old Dover, DE female -27 year old Dover, DE male
Suspect:
-Black male, 5’08”-5’11” tall, with a thin build and braided hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and dark sneakers.
Resume: Dover, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting incident in which two people were injured that occurred yesterday afternoon in Dover.
The investigation began at approximately 5:10 p.m. yesterday, September 19, after troopers were told to respond to the Autumn Run Apartments located on Webbs Lane in Dover for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, the troopers came into contact with a 27 year old male victim in the parking lot of the complex. The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to his foot. They also made contact with a female victim who was suffering from a graze wound to her knee. The male victim was transported to the Kent General Hospital where he was treated for his injury. The female victim refused treatment.
Troopers were able to learn that the two victims had been arguing with a male suspect who then produced a handgun and shot them. The suspect then fled the area in an unknown type of vehicle. It was also learned that the argument stemmed from the theft of the male victim’s bicycle that had occurred on an earlier date.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this shooting to contact detectives at Troop 3 at 302-697-4454.
