TROOPERS PROBE PIZZA DELIVERY ROBBERY


DSP News Release:  Troopers Probe Pizza Delivery Robbery 

 

Location:

·         Budget Inn, 3 Memorial Drive, New Castle, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:

·         Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11:05 p.m.

 

Victim:

·         21 year old delivery man

 

Suspect:

·         Black male, 20-24 years of age, 5’08” tall, 160-170 lbs, average build.  Last seen wearing black t-shirt, black jeans, with a dark colored scarf covering his face.  Suspect armed with an unknown type handgun.

 

Resume:

New Castle-Delaware State Troopers are investigating the robbery of a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver that occurred at the Budget Inn, New Castle late last evening.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 11:05 p.m. last evening after the 21 year old delivery man completed a scheduled delivery to the Budget Inn.  After completing the delivery on the second floor, the victim proceeded to the stairwell where he was confronted by the suspect.  The suspect displayed an unknown type handgun and demanded money.  The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect fled the area.  There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
