DSP News Release:  Troopers Investigate Valero Shore Stop Robbery 

Location:

·         Valero Shore Stop, 891 South Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE

Date of Occurrence:

·         Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 9:43 p.m.

Victim:

·         33 year old female employee

Suspect:

·         White male, 18-22 years of age, 5’08’-6’0” tall, 150-170 lbs, last seen wearing blue t-shirt, dark jeans, blue baseball cap, white sneakers.  Armed with knife.

Resume:

New Castle-Delaware State Troopers are investigating the robbery of the Valero Shore Stop located on South Dupont Highway in the area of Tybouts Corner, that occurred last evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:43 p.m. last evening as a male suspect entered the Valero Shore Stop and approached the sales counter.  The suspect confronted the female sales clerk, displayed a knife and demanded money.  The clerk complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of United States Currency from the register.  The suspect then fled the business on foot in an unknown direction.  There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
