Resume:

Magnolia, De-Delaware State Police Tuesday September 6, 2011 investigated a pedestrian crash on S. State Street near Banning Road Magnolia. 

 

The crash occurred just before 10:00 p.m. Tuesday evening as a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport driven by Stephanie Stevens was traveling southbound on S. State Street N/O Magnolia Delaware. 

 

The Mitsubishi struck William Cash-22 of Milford as he was walking along S. State Street.  Preliminary information suggests Cash was walking near the “fog line” of the roadway when he was struck.  Cash was transported from the scene to Kent General Hospital and eventually flown to Christiana Hospital. 

 

William Cash was admitted to Christiana Hospital in critical condition suffering from head trauma.  Delaware State Police received information earlier today that Cash succumbed from his injuries at 1:15 a.m.  

 

Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate the fatal crash.  Crash investigators are asking anyone with additional information surrounding the fatal crash to contact them at 302-697-4454 ext 215.
