DSP News Release: Troopers Probe Robbery of Delivery Driver

 

Location: Parking lot of Hi-Way Inn, 3806 Governor Printz Boulevard, Wilmington, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:  Tuesday, September 06, 2011 at 10:12 a.m.

 

Victims: 

 

-31 year old Philadelphia, PA man (employee)

-45 year old Philadelphia, PA man

 

Suspect:    

 

-Black male, 30-35 years of age, 5’09” tall, 250 lbs, with a large build and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He was also armed with a handgun.

Wilmington- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a delivery truck driver that occurred this morning.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 10:12 a.m. today as two Philadelphia, PA men were sitting inside of a delivery truck in the rear parking lot of the Hi-Way Inn located in the 3800 block of Governor Printz Boulevard, Wilmington. The victims advised troopers that a male suspect then opened the driver’s door of the truck while displaying a handgun. They then advised that the suspect reached inside of the truck and removed an undisclosed amount of money from inside. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction. The victims were not injured.
