Magnolia, De-Delaware State Police Friday September 2, 2011 while investigating an unrelated criminal case came across a Frederica man smoking marijuana. 

 

State Troopers were originally searching for a fugitive at a residence on the unit block of Covenant Lane in the Barkers Landing Mobile Home Park when they observed Taquion A. Turner smoking marijuana as they entered the residence. 

 

Turner was taken into custody without incident and searched.  Upon searching Turner, State Police seized over 4 ½ grams of cocaine, marijuana and a stolen firearm.  The firearm was reported stolen to the Philadelphia Police Department on June 9, 2008.

 

Turner was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Firearms Possession, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon a Firearm, Receiving a Stolen Firearm, Marijuana and Paraphernalia Possession. 

 

Turner was remanded to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $23,000 secured bond.
