DSP News Release: Dagsboro Man Charged in Parking Lot Altercation

Resume: Ocean View-A Dagsboro man was charged Friday evening after an altercation in the parking lot of Hocker’s Grocery Store on E. Atlantic Avenue Ocean View Delaware.
The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. when a 25 year old Frankford man was approached while at the gas pumps by Bradley K. Dunn-45 of Dagsboro. Dunn and the 25 year old man engaged in a verbal confrontation allegedly over a comment made by the 25 year old man. A second victim seated in the 25 year old man’s car overheard the argument between the two, which prompted him to exit the car.
Dunn then produced a knife and threatened to do bodily harm to the victims. Dunn walked up to the second victim a 23 year old Selbyville man and made comments which indicated they were prior acquaintances.
Dunn cut the 23 year old man on the ear and face with the knife. The victim was able to knock Dunn to the ground which dislodged the knife from his hand. The knife was knocked away a second time when Dunn attempted to pickup the knife.
The victims both fled the scene and reported to incident to the police. Dunn was stopped a short time later by Ocean View Police Department who charged him with Driving under the Influence of Alcohol. Dunn was later turned over to State Police and charged with crimes including Assault 2nd degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon, Aggravated Menacing and Terroristic Threatening.
Dunn was arraigned and remanded to the Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $17,500 cash bond.
The medical information about the 23 year old man is not currently known. The injuries are not life threatening.
