DSP News Release:  Troopers Investigating Home Invasion Robbery

Victim(s):

·         25 year old male

·         19 year old male

·         51 year old female

Suspect(s): 

·         Black male, 20-30 years old, 6’0”-6’02” tall, 160lbs.  Last seen wearing all dark clothing and dark cloth covering face.  Armed with unknown type handgun.

·         Black male, 20-30 years old, 6’3”-6’04” tall, 210lbs.  Last seen wearing all dark clothing and dark cloth covering face.  Armed with unknown type handgun.

Millsboro-Delaware State Police are investigating a home-invasion style robbery that occurred in the 25000 block of East Wind Drive, Pot-Nets Creekside on early Saturday morning, September 3, 2011.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:26 a.m. as two males suspects, both armed with handguns, forced their way into the residence and confronted the victims’, demanding money.  A struggle ensued with one of the suspects discharging a firearm in the residence.  No one was struck or injured as a result of the discharge.

  At least one of the suspects struck the 25 year old male victim in the head with a handgun.  Both suspects then fled the residence on foot in an unknown direction.

The 25 year old male victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into this incident.
