TROOPERS INVESTIGATE LIQUOR STORE ROBBERY


DSP News Release:  Troopers Investigate Liquor Store Robbery  

 

Location:

·         Teds Liquors, 1202 Newport Gap Pike, Wilmington, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:  

·         Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2:16 p.m.

 

Victim:

·         38 year old female employee

 

Suspect: 

·         White male, 30-45 years of age, 5’08”-5’09” tall, 160-180 lbs, average build.  Last seen wearing black t-shirt, blue jeans, dark colored mask covering face.  Armed with unknown type handgun.

 

Resume:

Wilmington-Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of Teds Liquors located on Newport Gap Pike that occurred this afternoon.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 2:16 p.m. this afternoon as a male suspect entered Teds Liquors and approached the female employee at the sales counter.  The suspect then displayed an unknown type handgun and demanded cash from the register.  The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of United States Currency to the suspect.  The suspect fled on foot with the cash in an unknown direction.  There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
